The flower bath was a lovely touch, but the steep walk was a workout!

We loved the two rooms on the first floor, perfect for our family. The semi-outdoor bathrooms were amazing. The pool was good and the girls really enjoyed swimming there. The location, semi-rural but close enough to walk into the centre of Ubud was perfect for our requirements. The choice and presentation of breakfasts was great. We were attending my brother's wedding at Maya Ubud and Sri Ratih Cottages was perfect for all our needs. We had a great stay :-)

The suite was stunning with an amazing bathroom, and the Balinese cooking class was an lovely experience for our family. the steep walk back from the center could be daunting after dinner. I'd definitely stay here again!

I was fortunate to get one of the newly renovated rooms and it blew me away for the $50 I paid per night. The room was perfectly spotless, spacious and comfortable... No smells or curious Indonesian oddities. But the outside bathroom with slate shower, centrally free-standing tub, etc made this the perfect choice. One night picked up some uber cheap DVDs, popped open my laptop and had a bubble bath under the stars. And again... It was spotless, shiny, clean without an ill-fitting tap or dodgy bulb in the place. I left Ubud and returned later in the week to the same hotel but the new block was booked so got the old block... Basic, dated, characterless rooms. Recommend this hotel 100% but put a note to get the new rooms (I had room 2 - it was twin. Maybe room 1 is double??) I also managed to get wi-fi in room 2 just fine. Also... Breakfast is ok, not great... Staff are lovely, pool is great too... Grounds are smallish but do the job. Best location of any hotel I tried - Murni's just down the hill for great food/drink and short walk to central Ubud. Highly recommended.
For the money, there is nothing to complain about this hotel... But for insane value, ask for the new rooms. I paid more than double elsewhere in Ubud for a 'traditional' room... I went fleeing back to Sri Ratih after one night of lizards, spiders and jumping at shadows in the other place :) Many people will not be happy with the renovation work going on currently between 10am and 5pm. The drilling and banging echoes across the whole place... But gets you out into Ubud doing what you came to do!

I like the garden and the swim pool. And the design of the room is great. Breakfast they prepare is nice. Also they embrace a nice countyside view of rice fields.
The location is a little far away from the Ubud Palace. If you are going to the Ubud Palace or Market by walk, it would take you around 15-20 minutes. If you are going to the Monkey forest, then half an hour would be necessary.

Just a short walk from the Sri Ratih cottages, we enjoyed exploring local cafes and the fine views. The staff upgraded our suite at no extra cost, and the ceiling showers were just amazing.
In my wife's opinion, a larger breakfast selection would be great.

Excellent place about 1km from Ubud centre. Six of us spanning three generations (grandparents, parents, children) stayed at the hotel for 4 days. The rooms were excellent. The kids enjoyed the time in the swimming pool while we could relax. The staff introduced good variety in the breakfast for the kids. Ubud is also in the centre of Bali. Hence we had daily trips, without spending too much time on travel.

The outdoor bathroom was quite nice, except for the dirt and mosquitoes. I expected that cleanliness woudl ve been priority here. Oh, and the beds gave me insect bites, how charming! After all this, I really thought I'd be compensated somehow-like, at least an upgrade-but here I am, still waiting. I almost wrote a good review but just couldn't.

the rooms were very nice and clean, with lovely outdoor bathrooms. slightly outside ubud (only 10 mins walk) but very peaceful for it. the staff were the highlight... not trying to sell you tours etc and really friendly and helpful, giving us advice on places to visit and making us feel forever welcome. If you can, rent a scooter and explore the region this way... Amazing.
